The mountain Hotel FIS is situated directly under the majestic peaks of High Tatras, in the altitude of 1346 m a.s.l., near Štrbské tarn.
Because of its unique location it makes a real oasis for sportsmen looking for the best conditions for a good training as well as for people longing for perfect rest and relaxation in the heart of the highest Slovak mountains. The strong sport tradition of the hotel is proved also by the fact that it is named after the international ski federation FIS and was officially launched by Mark Hodler, its president at that time, in 1970.
Hotel FIS offers 60 tastefully furnished rooms and 18 cosy bungalows that belong to the hotel. The furniture with clear lines made of light wood is adapted to the character of a mountain hotel and completes the pleasant atmosphere in harmony with its natural environment.
The hotel is intended mainly for sportsmen and people who love an active way of life.
The hotel offers fitness centre,finnish sauna,infra-sauna, sports hall for volleyball, basketball, mini-football or tennis. In the summer you can use tennis courts, football field or volleyball pitch, the nearest ski resort is far 50 m from the hotel.
The hotel offers you excellent coffee, delicious cake or aperitif in the Café. It is an ideal place for conversation with friends after an exciting day spent in the clean Tatra nature.
