The main hotel building was built in the 16th century and has empire facade from 1843. The guests can also choose accommodation in a tower of the former seat of the bishop, which was mentioned already in the 13th century.
The hotel strives for the continuous improvement of the quality of the accommodation it offers. Thus the majority of the rooms has recently gone through careful reconstruction in order to offer our guests charming and cosy environment. Heingärtner Dietmar + Hedwig29.06.2011 - Trotz garantierter Reservation eines Doppelzimmers De Luxe (Vorausbezahlung mit Kreditkarte und Verzicht auf Storno oder Änderung, Bestätigung am 14.03.2011) wurden wir erst am 23.06. bei Ankunft im Hotel Bishops House darüber informiert, daß infolge "unexpected technical problems" das Hotel gewechselt werden muß. Diese Information erfolgte seitens des dortigen Receptionisten durch Vorlage eines bereits vorbereiteten nichtdatierten Schreibens der Reservation dept. Travel agency AVE. Als Alternative erhielten wir ein Zimmer im Hotel Clementin Old Town, das bis auf die zentrale Lage und einer sehr freundlichen Receptionistin in keiner Weise dem von uns gebuchten Standard entsprach! Wir fühlen uns hintergangen und betrogen und haben den Eindruck, daß dies nicht ein Einzelfall war!
