It is the first hotel that was open in Cuba (in 1860). The name comes from a telegraph post, which was housed in the building. The hotel is located in the historic center, just a few minutes walk from the "Museo de Bellas Artes" - National Gallery, "El Capitolio" or "El Gran Teatro de La Habana," with the best ballet, operetta and concert performances. A short walk along the avenue "El Prado" you can get to the coast with a beautiful view of the Havana lighthouse and "El Morro".
